About COP 28
COP28, the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2023, is the pinnacle of global collaboration to address the urgent issue of climate change. Hosted at the Expo City in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from November 30th to December 12th, COP28 brings together representatives from 198 parties, including United Nations member states, observers from the UN General Assembly, the European Union, and various non-political organizations, scientists, journalists, and Indigenous Peoples’ groups.

Side Events: A Glimpse into Innovation
i. Capacity Development for Effective Climate Action and Sustainable Innovation at National and Devolved levels of Government: A collaborative initiative of KSG Centre for Environmental Governance and Climate Change and The State Department for Devolution. December 6, 2023 from 4:45pm to 6:15pm, led by Antony Okeyo.
ii. Cultivating Sustainability through Public Policy on Sustainable Agriculture: Smart Solutions and Innovations. December 10, 2023 from 3:00pm to 4:30 pm, led by Ruth Muigai, a distinguished faculty member. This initiative integrates cutting-edge research, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development to address sustainable agriculture challenges.
iii. Exhibition at the Kenya Pavilion: KSG will showcase its contributions to climate change action in mitigation and adaptation throughout the conference at the Kenya Pavilion, set up by the Ministry of Environment.
