KSG & Capital FM Townhall on Leadership and Governance
Capital FM in partnership with the Kenya School of Government hosted a Leadership & Governance Townhall bringing together student and corporate leaders from the public and private sectors. Director General Prof. Nura Mohamed and Capital FM Managing Director Symon Bargurei led the conversation with a strong call for accountability, dignity, and people-centered service. Prof. Mohamed highlighted KSG’s agenda on ethical governance and digital innovation, while Bargurei urged especially the youth to actively participate in shaping policy and governance.
The Townhall, featured on Capital FM’s Breakfast on the Move hosted by Chiko Lawi and Fellaris Wambui, also spotlighted diverse perspectives from panelists including Dr. Josephine Mwanzia, Senior Director Academic Affairs at KSG, Transparency International’s Programs Coordinator Titus Gitonga, and leadership expert Wale Akinyemi. The discussions reinforced that leadership is a shared duty anchored on integrity, values, and active participation.
From calls for youth to engage in policy-making processes to reflections on strengthening governance systems and vetting leadership based on competence and ethics, the session highlighted the critical link between leadership and governance in shaping a prosperous, accountable, and inclusive Kenya.
