Induction of 100 New Magistrates

The induction of newly recruited magistrates has began today at KSG, Lower Kabete Campus. The orientation program that lasts two weeks is structured to introduce the appointed officials to life in the judicial space and the high expectations of the citizens of Kenya with regards to fair court rulings.
Hon. Justice (Dr.) Smokin C. Wanjala, Judge of the Supreme Court of Kenya and Director General of the Kenya Judiciary Academy (KJA), presided over the induction and swearing-in ceremony of the Resident Magistrates. He expressed that the selection of the officials reflects intellect and commitment to justice, marking this as the start of a solemn journey from the study of law to the lived responsibility of judicial office. The courts demand empathy, and patience.
Prof. Nura Mohamed, Ph.D, EBS. , Director General of the Kenya School of Government, was delighted to receive the participants, reminding them of modern leadership that calls for purpose and inspiration- one that is compelling and memorable.
Also present were Hon. Lady Justice Caroline Kabochi and Hon. Lilian Arika, Registrar of KJA, underscoring the value of mentorship and institutional support in strengthening the Judiciary.
