Gathecha Visits Leadership Classes at Lower Kabete

Participants of the Diploma in Public Administration had a rare opportunity to engage with the Deputy Head of Public Service, Mr. Amos Gathecha, at the Lower Kabete Campus.

Never one to shy away from sharing lessons from his public service experience, Mr. Gathecha stated that  strong institutions are built by accountable professionals. Drawing from Thoughts Become Things in The Secret, he challenged the participants to embrace a growth mindset, and take ownership of their career trajectories, as they serve with purpose, and dedication.

As they commit to continuous professional development, he urged them to also prepare intentionally for retirement as planning for the future is as important as delivering in the present.

Still while at KSG, the Deputy Head of Public Service, joined participants of the Leadership Program for National Transformation (LPNT) at the Kenya School of Government as they presented their strategic proposals on driving national transformation.  The 7 week training has proven to be a robust and immersive program with high level facilitation, case study simulations, expert missions and trainee visits to a KSG-sister institution in a country that has demonstrably realized greater achievements in national transformation for  lessons from comparative global experiences.

Mr. Gathecha has remained at the heart of the program from its inception, providing strategic guidance and steadfast support as it continues to influence transformation of public sector leaders.
