Prof. Nura Mohamed, Ph.D., EBS, Director General
Prof. Nura Mohamed is the Director General, at the Kenya School of Government, where he is responsible for providing leadership and direction on long-term, medium term and day-to-day management of Finance, Information Technology, Human Resource and Administration functions of the School.
Prof. Mohamed holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from Central University of Finance and Economics, China, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the same University
Prof. Mohamed is a public sector leadership and transformation expert with over 23 years’ experience in public sector reforms, performance management, finance, audit and planning. He possesses remarkable wealth of experience in providing strategic leadership in various reforms in Governments.
While serving as the Director Finance and Administration at Zanzibar University in Tanzania, he successfully spearheaded the university transformation processes. He is a consultant, researcher and adviser in the areas of public policy, organisational transformation and re-engineering of various government reforms and management.
Prof. Mohamed research interests include Public Finance, Public Sector Reforms, Performance Management, Training and Knowledge Management. He teaches Public Sector Finance, Transformational Leadership, Governance and Management.

Dr. Josephine Mwanzia, Ph.D., Director Academic Affairs
Dr. Josephine Mwanzia is the Director Academic Affairs and senior faculty member at the Kenya School of Government.
Dr. Mwanzia has previously served in various capacities in the Public Sector including being the positions of Senior Assistant Director responsible for social infrastructure development in the then Ministry of Nairobi Metropolitan, Assistant Director in Human Resource Development in the Ministry of State for Public Service (now Ministry of Public Service, Gender and Affirmative Action) and Senior Education Officer, in the Ministry of Education.
She holds a Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree from the University of Nairobi, the Master of Education in Educational Management degree from Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Brunei and the Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Education from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
She has for more than 30 years remained active in the capacity development sector and is an outstanding facilitator, consultant, coach and mentor in wide range of subjects in public service. She has facilitated collaborations and partnerships that span local and international contexts to address capacity and competency gaps in her pursuit to create a Public Service vehicle in whom the citizenry exude trust and confidence. Her belief and interest inclusive strategies motivated her to write and publish the book Participatory Development in Kenya. She has a rich experience in research and development.
As part of her responsibilities in the public sector, Dr. Mwanzia has completed projects relating to development of policies and programs in the fields of education and training, human resource management and development, including curriculum development, implementation and review.
At the Kenya School of Government she is responsible for coordination of program development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, learning and review. She is also the custodian of quality assurance for learning and development programs that take the form of training, research, policy advisory, technical support or consultancy and community outreach. Josephine indeed spearheaded the development and implementation of an innovative curriculum on Social Protection and is a qualified trainer of trainers in this field.

Dr. Tom Wanyama is the Acting Director Finance and Administration and senior faculty member at the Kenya School of Government.
