Profile of the Establishment

The Centre for Research and Advisory Services (CRAS) was established in 2017 as a fully-fledged center in the Kenya School of Government (KSG). The CRAS provide services designed to inform public policy and facilitate the establishment of professional networks and think tanks. The Center provides strategic research and advisory services through mobilization of the right skills, networks, and modern technology to enable public institutions offer innovative and robust policy interventions to emergent problems through evidence based decisions.

The mandate of the Centre

The Centre for Research and Advisory Services (CRAS) has a mandate to provide strategic research and advisory services designed to inform evidenced-based public policy making process. The center also undertakes consultancy services to both public and private entities in order to concretize ideas and deepen socio-economic transformation and development in Kenya and beyond. This is in line with the aspirations of the Sustainable Development goals (SDGs) and the Kenya Vision 2030. The center also promotes scholarship and innovation that meets the Global need.

  10. BIG Four Agenda researches: Manufacturing, Affordable Housing, Universal Health Care, Food Nutrition and Security.
