Established through the Kenya School of Government Act (No. 9 of 2012), the School is the successor of former Kenya Institute of Administration (KIA) and former Kenya Development Learning Centre (KDLC), now e-Learning and Development Institute. The former Government Training Institutes (GTIs) of Mombasa, Matuga, Embu, and Baringo form campuses of the School. KSG is ISO 9001:2015 certified and provides capacity development programs for the public service through Training, Research, Consultancy, and Policy Advisory Services.

We are headquartered at Lower Kabete with four campuses spread across the country.

Baringo Campus is located in Kabarnet town in Baringo County.

Embu Campus is located in Embu County along the Embu-Meru Highway.

Matuga Campus is located in Kwale County.

Mombasa Campus is located within the Central Business District of the coastal town of Mombasa, specifically in the Kizingo area.

Officers who work in the Public and Private sectors provided they meet the requirements of the different courses offered.

We have a few courses that can benefit you as an O’Level graduate. These are the Diploma and Certificate programs. Examples are Certificate in Youth Entrepreneurship in Agriculture, Certificate in Social Work, Certificate in Management of Public Enterprises, Diploma in Social Work, Diploma in Public Administration, Diploma in International Studies, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management of Public Enterprises. However, majority of our programs benefit individuals who are already in the work environment and would like to sharpen their skills in specific areas.

Once you submit your application, you will receive a code that will help you access your electronically generated proforma invoice.

Certificates are issued to participants who have attended programs offered over a minimum period of three days. The participant must successfully complete the program by meeting all the requirements including effective participation.

Most of our face-to-face courses are offered on a full-time basis from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm from Monday to Friday. However, we also make arrangements with corporate clients for part-time delivery.

We offer a Certificate in Social Work, Certificate in Management of Public Enterprises, and Certificate in Youth Entrepreneurship in Agriculture.

We offer a Diploma in Social Work, Diploma in Public Administration, Diploma in International Studies, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management of Public Enterprises.

We offer two Masters Programs in collaboration with the University of Nairobi; Master in Public Administration and Master of Arts in Diplomacy.

Yes, we offer tailor-made courses to suit client needs. This is critical since some clients have peculiar needs.

Yes. Most of our online courses are offered through our e-Learning and Development Institute.

Certificates are only issued upon completion of training to the satisfaction of the School Academic Board and after full settlement of the training fees.

We, currently, offer sponsorships to youthful promising leaders in short courses like introduction to leadership, Management and Information, and Communication Technology under the Corporate Social Responsibility kitty.

Employers sponsor most of their staff who train at the School.
