Electronic Records Management Course

Preamble

Records and Information management directly impacts on efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery. Proper records management hastens the pace of decision making, hence improved service delivery. To ensure that records remain a key resource in any organization, they must be kept in such a way that they can be located, retrieved, presented and interpreted for timely and effective decisions.

It is for this purpose that Kenya School of Government, eLDi has designed the Electronic Records Management Course for Public Service Course to enhance this process.   Delegates in the course will gain hands-on skills on the recently developed records management workflow system known as the Integrated Records Management System (IRMS) to enable them computerize records management in their organizations

Officers responsible for management of information, records and documents in both the national and county Government

  • Introduction to Record Management
  • Filling and Maintenance of Records
  • Record Survey and Disposal
  • Security of records, disaster management, and ISO certification                      
  • Introduction to Computer Applications, including Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentation and Database Management
  • Integrated Records Management System
